Welcome to IftarOk. Your privacy is a priority for us. This policy describes how we handle information within our mobile application to provide you with the best experience during the holy month.

Quick Summary: We do not track you personally. We use your location to find nearby Iftar sites and calculate prayer times. While we share coordinates with a timing service, your data is processed ephemerally and never sold.

2. Location Information

IftarOk requires access to your Precise Location to provide its core services. Specifically, this data is used to:

Identify and display the nearest Iftar locations on the map.
Calculate accurate Iftar and Suhoor times based on your specific coordinates.

Processing: Your location is processed ephemerally. This means the data is used in real-time to fulfill your request and is not stored on our permanent servers or used to build a profile of your movements.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

To provide accurate religious timings, IftarOk shares location data with the following third-party services:

IslamicAPI (islamicapi.com): We transmit latitude and longitude coordinates to their /api/v1/fasting/ endpoint. This is used exclusively to calculate fasting (Sahur/Iftar) times based on the Algerian Ministry of Religious Affairs calculation method. No personal identifiers (name, email, device ID) are sent to this API.
Google Maps SDK: Used for map rendering and displaying nearby Iftar locations. Google may collect diagnostic data as outlined in their Privacy Policy.

We do not share your location data with any advertising networks or data brokers.

4. Data Retention & Security

IftarOk does not require user accounts. Any local settings (such as "Favorite Locations") are stored locally on your device. We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all external communication to ensure your data is safe in transit.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our services do not target children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

Control: You can "opt-out" of data collection at any time by disabling Location Permissions in your device settings.

Deletion: Since we do not use accounts, we do not store personal data on our servers to delete. To remove all local data (favorites/cache), simply clear the app storage in your device settings or uninstall the application.
